Ending avoidable blindness
Indigenous Australians are three times more likely to go blind than the rest of the population, and the causes are almost always preventable. Working with communities and partners, research by the University of Melbourne has made significant inroads to support the elimination of eye diseases such as trachoma, and aims to end avoidable blindness by the year 2020.
