Episode 295

On this Up Close podcast, clinical psychologist Dr Mario Alvarez-Jimenez discusses research into non-drug approaches, such as positive psychology and social media, to preventing the recurrence of psychotic episodes in young people.

“The movement in research – and in what we’re trying to do in treatment – is actually to move away from symptoms to more comprehensive focus on recovery and social functioning. That’s where positive psychology can actually add something,” says Dr Alvarez-Jimenez.
