In this episode of the Up Close podcast, educator and schools researcher Professor David Clarke discusses new understanding of student learning and success in maths and science, gathered from extensive observation of classroom interaction and negotiation styles.

David Clarke is a Professor in the Melbourne Graduate School of Education and Director of the International Centre for Classroom Research (ICCR). Over the last 20 years, his research activity has centred on capturing the complexity of classroom practice through a program of international video-based classroom research.
